it's that time of the year, new york fashion week for fall 2015. the time of the year where i look at all of the clothes that have "price upon request" written below them because they cost that much. fashion week is also the time where i issue my apology to hating tommy hilfiger clothing as a young girl (see my "formal apology" to tommy hilfiger in http://graciekarraker.blogspot.com).
i watched the tommy hilfiger fall 2015 fashion show and of course i liked all of the clothes. tommy hilfiger proved me wrong again. it's a beautiful collection.
it's the 30th anniversary of tommy hilfiger collection. the number thirty was incorporated into the collection like numbers on a football jersey, a few pieces had details designed to look like the lacing on a football and of course, the runway was a football field. what else would it be? i don't like football, but i like tommy hilfiger football. the collection has nods to jerseys, lettermen jackets, marching band and cheerleading uniforms.
the colors of the collection are beautiful. i like the use of velvet, if you don't like velvet that's your problem, and the pairing together of olive green, navy and tan. my favorite looks from the tommy hilfiger fall 2015 collection are below. i think my most favorite pieces are the velvet and what looks to be silk dresses. they make me think of daisy buchanan and jane birkin- the best dressed women ever.
